UPDATE. YUM. YUM. OH MY YUM. Today I bought the sausage roll, the jalapeno sausage kolache, the bacon and egg kolache, the mixed berry roll and the cream cheese roll. I couldn't pick which is my favorite for any reason because they are all fantastic. And no I did not try them all at the same time I took them to go LOL. But let me tell you it was really hard to not want to just pull over into a parking lot and devour them all. If you get a chance park on the side and make the walk around because you will not be sorry. Supporting local.
UPDATE. I'm still in love with you. Fresh baked small batch goodies. Sweet. Savory. DE-LICK-ABLE!!!
Finally made it into this local Ukrainian bakery. Why I waited this long i'll never know. Okay let's talk about the two elephants in the room. The small room. That's one of the elephants. Only one little table that you could sit at but it seems like most people are getting things to go. There were four of us in here at the same time, two sitting and myself and a woman in line. And it was crowded. And the other elephant is the parking. It could be a little challenging but you can park in the parking lot at the end and walk around. Now, elephants out of the way, you will want to make your way through those obstacles. Wonderful pastries sweet and savory. I tried the ground beef wrapped in pastry. Don't expect picadillo, its not that. Also tried the pig in the blanket. YUM. These people are baking with old fashion traditional ways and in small quantities and fresh fresh fresh. That said, don't get there too late like I did (almost 2pm). I really wanted to try the Samsa chicken with cheese and the chorizo and green onion. Maybe next time. I noticed someone in front of me buying a few slices of cake to go and trust me they looked incredible. They also sell Frozen things that you can go home to cook like pierogies, dumplings and cabbage rolls everything sounds really good! I'm going to have to give everything a try. No really. That beautiful

This is the kind of mom-and-pop bakery that restores your faith in real food and genuine hospitality. I tried the chicken pastry and the beef and potato pastry, absolutely to die for. Every bite tasted homemade, buttery, and full of heart.
The cakes and macaroons in the display case looked heavenly, each one a little work of art. You can tell everything here is made from scratch, with the same care and tradition you’d find in a cozy European café.
The owner, a kind and gracious woman, makes you feel like family the moment you walk in. She greets everyone with warmth and presence, and it’s clear she pours her soul into this place.
I can’t wait to return and try the rest of the menu. Truly a hidden treasure in San Antonio.

I traveled from Austin to San Antonio to experience Ukrainian cuisine, and it exceeded my expectations. The flavors were incredibly authentic, reminding me of home. I highly recommend this spot not only for its fresh, traditional baked goods but also as a way to support Ukraine.

Choice place for Eastern European pastries. The lady behind the counter was 100% Ukrainian and all pastries are hand made with love and care. This is a small shop but had available seating inside during my visit. They serve drinks and tea to go with the wide fresh selection of baked goods. Highly recommend for sure. 👍

We love this Ukrainian bakery. The owner is great and makes delicious food. Sometimes I would message her on their instagram page to see what pirozhki she has that day and she replies really fast . Other days I just pop in to grab some Ukrainian baked goods . I also sometimes order in advance things like nalisniki with meat and farmers cheese , pelmeni ….. and they are always fresh delicious, little taste of home .

Wow!! I have a class nearby and stopped in last week because I was hungry and had a few extra minutes. Grabbed something with potato in it, that was pretty good but the STAR of the day was the super pillowy soft, perfectly sweetened delicious cream cheese pastry. I had to stop back again today and I bought all the ones she had (just came out of the oven .. sorry yall!) I also got a sausage and beef and those were great too! Not sure what the last guy’s review is talking about cause the customer service was amazing and so is the food. Highly recommend.

I recently visited Pashina on a weekend trip to San Antonio after we saw it from the road and stopped in. The food was freshly made by hand and the honey cake was as dreamy as the ones I enjoyed in Ukraine. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful and unexpected find! Having a husband that grew up with Eastern European cuisine, this place really hits the mark! We enjoyed the wonderful pastry options here, and have continued to enjoy serving up syrniki at home. The staff are so kind, and really put a lot of love into their work.

Quiet and friendly service. A quaint little bakery with lovely pastries and cakes and other fine baked goods. I had a slice of the Neopolean cake. It was perfect!! Delicious!! You won't be disappointed... Give it a try if you are in the area.
